2 lg onions, sliced 1/4 inch
1 C vegetable oil
Dry ingredients
1/4 C brown rice
2 tbsp all purpose flour, gf
2 tbsp tapioca
2 tbsp corn starch
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
1 tsp sugar
Wet ingredients
1 1/4 C milk, (or milk alternative)
1/4 C vegetable oil
1 large egg
Mix all the dry ingredients together. In a separate bowl whisk together the wet ingredients. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Dunk the onion slices into the batter and carefully put them in the hot oil. Once golden brown, remove onion rings from oil and put on paper towel. Enjoy!
In a pot cook 1/2 a pound of hamburger and mash it up.
Add:
1 small onion, chopped
two carrots sliced
one celery stalk sliced
one tomato, cut up
48 ounces chicken broth-I use Swanson
1/2 tsp chicken bullion
1/2 tsp parsley, salt, pepper
boil for 20 minutes then add a half a cup of gf elbows macaroni and boil for another 10 minutes
Soup warms the soul.
